Eliot Bencuya
Founder
Eliot Bencuya is the founder of Kalcedon Investments, where he specializes in identifying and executing sub-institutional value-add and structured finance commercial real estate investments. Operating across the United States with a historical focus on secondary markets, he participates across the capital stack as a GP, Co-GP, or LP alongside best-in-class local operators.
Before starting Kalcedon, Eliot co-founded Tryperion Holdings, where he remains a Senior Advisor. Prior to Tryperion, Eliot was Vice President at Canyon Capital Realty Advisors, where he was responsible for originating both debt and equity investments. Outside of his primary activities, he maintains a select portfolio of early-stage technology startup investments and is a part owner of Ascent CRE Management, a property management firm based in Salt Lake City. Eliot holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and a B.A. in Economics and International Studies from Yale University.
